Ty & Ally 2013

Oh my, this poor little blog.  I am going to do better.  Don't hold your breath though.  I took pictures of my kids last night with the help of my friend Cindy.  I try to take them every year for my Mom's Birthday.  It's a good occasion, and I like having a deadline to hold myself to, or they would really never happen.  But let me just tell you, Ally was soooo naughty, she wouldn't smile or hold still.  I wanted to hurt her, good thing Cindy was there, to save her life (and my mind... and freedom) and also get a few decent shots of them.  So grateful for Cindy, and so are my kids :) Despite how naughty this girl is she sure is cute, and my little man... well i'm pretty partial to his handsome mug too.

Whew, done for another summer. But I hate looking back and seeing how much they have grown, I almost cried at the school open house today.  I remembered my school days and I was a little in denial that I had a kid old enough to be in school.  Maybe kindergarten will be time I can use to blog.  Even though when I asked Ty what I was going to do without him he quickly responded, "You will just quilt Mama..." oh man, he has me figured, smart little stinker.

Memorial Day 2013

Remember when I used to have cute clever titles for my posts? yeah, I'm apparently all out of cute and clever, sorry about that. Anyways, our friends invited us to go camping for Memorial Day weekend, and it took us about 2.7 seconds to decide that we were totally in.  The first camping trip of the year is something we all look forward too.  They decided to camp up by Strawberry Reservoir and there were several families there.  There were 9 girls in all, and then Ty.  He was the only boy.  When we got there and Steph told him this, he told her "It's fine, I brought my four wheeler, I can handle it"  And wouldn't you know, those little girlies kept him on his toes all weekend.   They all played together so so so well, seriously not a cross word between them, it was heavenly.  The grown ups also had a pretty good time, seeing as all their little people were well entertained.

One could reason that if a kids mom took lots of pictures, then they should know how to smile when said Mother says "Give me your best smile".  Apparently all children know what this means except mine.  Seriously, Ty looks like he just witnessed a 10 car pile up, and Ally's face is less smile and more wolverine ready to eat a face off, I give up, at least it makes me laugh, (a lot). (Scouts smile is my favorite!!! I chuckle every time I look at her!! Kids are seriously the BEST)

I took a picture of all the kids little dirty camping faces.  They are all pretty cute, but seriously, there isn't a cuter dirty camping face than this one.  Scouty, you make me SMILE!!!

So many good memories!  Except the part where Ally started throwing up at 3am Sunday morning and didn't stop.  Seriously, I finally told Ben that we had to pack up at 7am because I was out of any kind of anything to clean her or her stomach contents up with.  So not counting our sudden departure, it was the best 'first camping trip of the summer' ever!! Thanks everyone for making it so much fun!

The Seelys

I really don't take a lot of family pictures for people.  But you know the old saying, when it rains, it pours! Okay so I have taken pictures for two families, still, that seems like a lot to me :)  This cute little family is in my ward.  They are moving out of state because of a new job.  I am really sad they are leaving, they are so fun and down to earth.  These girls are all little daddy's girls and each wanted a picture with him.  He was leaving for the new job before they were and so they were a little nervous about the time they were going to spend apart.  I love how a picture can mean so much, It made them that much more special to take.

Good Luck Seely family! We are going to miss all of you so very much!!

Preschool Graduation

Ty finally graduated from preschool last night.  As in graduated and will not repeat preschool again.  Two years is plenty.... I hope....

Ty was seriously the biggest ham on the stage.  It was so funny.  He made everyone laugh and laugh.  And that was just fine with him, cause Ty really loves to make people laugh and smile.  Ally she was less enthusiastic about the whole thing.  Miss Kelci, you are the bestest preschool teacher in the whole wide world, and don't think for one minute that you were the only one who shed a few tears when our super senior graduated.  So I guess now it's onto kindergarten for our little man.  I am so proud of him, and a little sad that he has to grow up, but I am told there is no other choice.  He has however assured me that he will live with me forever.  I am just making a note of it here so that I can show him in thirteen or so years......

Now, onto summer, oh yeah baby!!

The Smiths

Last night I took some family pictures for some friends of ours.  It was amazing.  I am so in love with how they turned out.  Is it weird to hang a family picture in your house if it's not your family?? hehehe

See??? you want them on your wall too huh...

Shopping + 5 year old boy = extreme bordem

What do you do to keep your child entertained while shopping?  I mean your boy child who would rather do pretty much anything in the world but shop.  Just a little advice, giving them your phone, might be a mistake.  They just might figure out how to take pictures, and you thought they didn't know how to unlock it, wrong.  At least one of us is smart I guess.

I am very sorry unknowing public.  (but I got a good 15 to 20 minutes of entertainment out of this, so keep your guard up, there could be a 5 year old photo guru out there among you:))
